For non class/race specific tradeskills, it's not the tradeskill mastery AA that lets you go past 200, it's New Tanaan Crafting Mastery. For tradeskills other than alchemy, tinkering, poisonmaking, only 1 tradeskill is allowed to naturally go past 200. After that, you have to buy one level of New Tanaan Crafting Mastery for each tradeskill you would like to raise above 200.
Using myself as an example:
I raised baking to 250. Then, I bought a level of New Tanaan Crafting Mastery and raised brewing to 250. When I wanted to raise alchemy past 200, I didn't have to spend any AA although I already had 2 tradeskills past 200.
I'm actually not 100% sure what the [tradeskill] Mastery AAs do, since I'm kind of tradeskill burnt out at the moment. I don't think this line of AAs raises caps any farther...I thought it just gave you more chances to succeed? Like our own Alchemy Mastery - reduce failures % by 10/25/50%.
