Those last 2 skill-ups sucked for me...was going along just fine with inks and lilies (depending on if I wanted to get some aa while farming - SG was nice for that and not exactly difficult nor did I have to stay in the water there, or if I just wanted to take my husband's bst and mow through Seb - snare proc on the pet is happy). I belw through 8 stacks of inks, and 5 stacks of lilies with no skill-ups to get those 2. It sucked, I never want to see Seb again, the froglok skin drops have made my husband addicted to old school frog illusion, but it' done and now I don't have to do it anymore. Of course, some of my wonderful friends, on me telling them I had maxxed alchemy finally, replied with "Yeah, til next expansion, when they raise the cap...you know they'll do it, just to annoy you =P"

Take ranger/druid and sit in Dreadlands and forage Nodding Blue Lillies, that is what i do and i hit 300 in no time. 345 Club is mine!

i farmed seb and KK for several days after the new alchemy crap came out, got a few skillups, took me to 282ish with mod, but farming for hours and hours to make 1 skil maybe...nah screw it. If alchemy had a use in combat it would be worth it, but to me it doesnt

I dunno, giving all the melees the option to HOT or heal themselves (with 2 min recast) and all the casters the ability to immediately click a clarity potion if their clarity is dispelled or overwritten during a big fight (and the enchanters are too busy to MGB clarity at that moment) seems pretty darned worth it to me!

I think the recent changes to alchemy were the biggest thing since the bearskin potion bag and stackable potions. Top notch stuff.

yeah its nice to provide every slackjaw dead newb with potions to heal themselves and clarity themself with, but im not into filling my bags for everyone else...ill make them for you if you bring me the pieces, but im done farming crap.
NOT having to farm is why i started alchemy, it was expensive, but a challenge. killing green mobs/light blue mobs for rare drop isnt fun to me
