The difference between a secure state and a police state is precariously balanced on the relf-recognizance of the FBI and it's individual employees. No offense to the men and women of that fine organization, but it is an open invitation to abuse knowing their only oversight is a board put in place by the same administration that extended their powers so much.

Hmm well if they kept a person under surveilance for 5 years then it had NOTHING to do with the patriot act. Heck that even predated GWB in the White House.
Yes the FBI and other organizations cheat.
No, they shouldn't.
Yes, they do it under every administration.
