There is hope! The first post of thread over at the Sony boards says they've made good progress fixing the UI issues. Near as I can tell, they're just waiting for the next patch to push the changes live.
"Also, assuming it tests out OK, we'll be enabling a new window and slash command for copying UI layouts between characters."

Thanks for the post, managed to get my buff windows back to what I used to use. The loot window, however, I couldn't get to the right size on the x axis anyway. Instead of the two column window the default provides, this is a large box with all the pieces of gear visible in ~ 2" x 2" box. I changed the sizable value to true, but it would only let me move the window up or down. Is there a field that will let me move the borders of the window left and right? . Any feedback would be appreciated as I loathe the default window, shoot me a PM.
