Graphics question

Kind of an odd question, but can you turn off the environmental effects of steam and mist? I'm thinking in particular of the waterfall in SRF and the like. I get horrible, horrible lag when I'm around those types of graphics. I've turned off everything I can think of but it's not really helping.

There are two kinds of fog that I have seen.

Firstly, the fog that is supposed to be localised, which also doubles as steam/smoke in small areas. This type can be disabled, go to Options, Display tag, Env tab, Set density to any of "low/medium/high", and then set density to "off". Then zone once, so maybe make these changes while you are in the guild hall or lobby. Remember the main thing is to change density TWICE, so you turn it on, then off, and it will finally recognise the off setting. Luckily this is the one that causes most lag and is fixible.

Second kind of fog is distance based, which just reduces the distance you can see, and that cannot be changed as far as I am aware.

The command is /particledensity off but be warned it kills any kind of particles including fog.Bad thing is this command needs to be redone each time you camp/crash and you need to zone before it takes effect.About fog tho atm they are working on it on test and its really impressive the latest results improves the fog lag by alot.I only tested with the one in loping but the fog there is 99% lag free now.
