Particle Effects

I'm trying to reduce some of the lag on my computer by turning off some particle effects options along with a few others. Currently, under display I have Env and Spell Particles opacity turned to 0% and Player Particles on 30% (only because I'd like to keep particles on stuff like weapons and epic still visible). Even with those settings, I'm still seeing spell effect particles on certain spells and abilities like ranger hail of arrows line and monk wheel of fists line. I'm also getting a lot of lag from mist effects like that seen where Telivar spawns in Korafax or in the Temple of Bertox.

What I would like to have is no spell particles shown on any spells, AAs or abilities, have mist effects turned off (or at least reduced) but retain the ripped time hole seen over the Void portals. If anyone knows a /show type macro or an option I can click in display that would help, it would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the particle effects on the ones you mentioned, Hail of Arrows and Wheel of Fists, don't seem to fall under any particular filter that I've found. Definately not under the normal spell effects filter. For those, and for the green mist in Korafax, you might have to bite the bullet and turn all particles off.

I had terrible lag on my old comp with terrian fogs and mist type stuff. I had to just bite the bullet and turn them all off. To make sure they were off i'd type "/particle off" or something like that every time i logged on. Sucks but that is what you have to do. I personally didnt mind having them off. Never really had many effects on anyway
