AE TL is a bit cheesy, imo, but I can understand why it's done....

I'm not really sure why we didn't just mezz the dervishes. Possibly because we were always low on enchanters (typically had 1 or 2 on Vish) and they're pretty resistant. Or is it a level thing, and you can mezz them at 75 when you couldn't at 70?

I think DA works best when it's a little bit more than a last resort, at least for clerics (who get 3 of the things), because there are fewer spirits than people needing cures. If one person DAs instead of using a spirit each DT round, then there should be enough cures to go around.

Oh, and don't forget audio triggers for the DT - You sense your doom approaching - that helps a lot, you don't have to watch your buff box all the time any more.

If you want to cure the snare/DoT, it takes 2 radiant cure casters to alternate RC to keep it cured.

One funny story about unusual classes helping to control the Derv's. Here's an excerpt from our front page where yours truly managed to wipe a raid with a spell that was new and mislabeled

To set the stage, our leader decided to call Vish. We had no monks online, 1 rogue online, no SK's online (the single SK we have usually handles the 4 incorporal shadows).
- So a bard, a chanter and I are teamed up to aggro/handle the adds and I load a couple of stuns. The two newest from TSS - single target and silent decree (whose description has NO mention of causing damage mind you; this would be the first time I used the spell since I got it).

Needless to say, the bard has all 4 in one place and I see one start to go so I cast Silent Decree and ...

Heh. Oops.

The highlight of my Vish experiences so far (which I -wish- I'd had a log running for) involved me getting 'killed' as things were starting to go south in a hurry - but my 2nd Chance Tribute fired off, and gave me the DI/Heal effect...but I -also- had Vishimtar's Shadow on me... which meant that the healing from Touch of the Divine was warring with the DoT from Vishimtar's Shadow and I kept falling unconscious, waking up, falling unconscious, and waking up while invulnerable. And better still, I had my defensive proc mez running, and had low health aggro of doom, so I routinely aggroed skeletons, dervishes, and drakes, which would beat on my invulnerable self and get mezzed as a result.

It was pure awesome, even though we all died horribly.
