Returning to EQ and rolling Paladin.

So I just returned to EQ last night and I am going to start playing my Paladin, he is around level 43. Quick background, I have played an Sk to 65, with 50 or so AA's, my highest toon is a 70 Wizard with about 20 AA's. I played from RoK - PoP, and then scarcely over the next rest and then started back on FV in 2007/2008 and then stopped in about June 2008 due to leaving with the military too much.

My questions are:
1) What level if I am soloing and cannot find a group in level range, should I stop to do AA's at? I used to stop my toons at around 53 and farm out at least Run 3, Mana Regen 3, and the defensive's to level 3.
2) Is the population on FV high enough to consider restarting there, or should I pick a server like Xegony or Luclin, or one of the progression servers?
3) Is there any advice anyone has for a returning player planning on playing a Pally?

70 to 71 is great for a stop in the Hole to punch out some basic AA, after that probably 80 to 85 punch out some more in RoI, then just hit level 90.

Don't know much about FV, but all live servers got no lower level game, so unless you are close to max level and playing in latest expansions don't expect to bump into many people is my personal experience. Can not comment on progression server, never played on it.

Paladin is a tank class, you live and die on equipments and aa. So be mentally prepare to do a lot of gearing up and aa grind. You will also farm a set of decent augs as well.
