What do Paladins parse on Undead.

That's the big problem with parsing slay undead. Since it's so streaky, sure you'll see some good parses of 1500+ once in a while, while other paladins will maybe be around the 1k mark. The number one thing that makes a good parse is luck of the RNG (and a shitload of atk to ensure max slays) - adding cleave, fero, accuracy, whatever is essentially only gonna increase the chance of seeing a good parse, coz these things alone won't put you consistently in the 1500 range.

was 822dps over 1h28m of recorded combat time in Frostcrypt, with ranger & shm buffs, no bard. Unaugmented 2.0, Cleave/Fero 5. In the same group, the ranger was 611dps.

Was it? he was 1.5x the eskay's dps, and even with the wizard. The wizard was probably slacking, but not the ranger lacking enc haste / any bard stuff.

I know some rangers who regularly parse 700-1000 dps over extended fights, 20-40% more on shorter ones. So yeah, it seemed a bit low to me Though I knew nothing else of the group setup, he might've been buffless - didn't occur to me. Though an SK parsing only 400 dps seems pretty low too.

The shadowknight, , was pulling & tanking (tanking, as you are undoubtedly well aware, reduces dps by up to 30% just for being in front where a mob can parry/dodge), using his Eulogy/shield except when his epic click was running. 400dps is about 100 more than I've recorded for less geared paladins also wielding Eulogy, not low at all.

Rofl 100-150 in dots. Eskays run exactly 10 dps from dots on nearly every mob, from Festering Darkness. I'd check if I had to, but instead I'll just bet you my car keys that Hemlocc hasn't cast any other dots in the last YEAR.

I think you're confusing raid numbers with exp group numbers.

I parsed a few fights on undead in direwind. I had shaman haste/buffs, bard overhaste/songs. I parsed at about 900+ dps on most undead fights while tanking(few stuns for aggro). I use a BoFF/shield with a couple levels of double attack aa to go. My bard was doing 375ish dps on the mobs, not using discs or any dots. On non undead I was getting like 250+ dps I believe. Very small log size, just a quick check.

The difference between raid and group isn't that big (misunderstand me right - I'm not saying they're supposed to be the same). It's simply that I underestimated the burst dps a ranger is capable of. From a Paladin's POV, who has virtually no burst dps, the DPS difference on a raid mob and a group mob (given the same buffs, etc) is roughly 10-15%.

Had no idea rangers could woop out that much burst dps in comparison to their regular dps. They seem to be only bested by zerkers (and barely that) when speaking relatively; a zerker would go from roughly 1k sustained to 2.5k burst (loose numbers, depends on length of burst, etc). That's a 2.5 ratio, in comparison to the 2.3 ratio the ranger has (using the 1400:600 numbers, again, loosely as I assume they're not the same player).
