Confused on essencess

Yesterday I looted a warped tier 3 essence in Kurns tower.. I thought this was the last tier 3 I wanted.. needed it for arms.. welllll I soon realized I screwed up I need a distorted essence.. Some told me.. fear not there is now a way to convert a warped tier 3 to a distorted tier 3 .. Is this true??? If so.. how?? I could not figure it out.. thanks.....

In regards to your question Thurvok, Brohg is right that you cannot change the slot type of the essences from say Arms/Legs to a Helm/Boots.

However you can change the type essences from an Incandescent to a Luminescent by converting them in a Temporal Molting Cell purchasable from Zebuxoruk in Void E for 1000 chronobines OR you can get up to 16 Temporal Molting cells from Tavid Dennet in the Guild lobby.
You hail Tavid and he will give text and explain what he can give you for free and what each item will do.

I have 3 types of the essence group armor atm and they type 15 aug form foscale gives full stats which include 24 ac and 245 hps, so there really is no need to pick and choose unless you are trying for different mods. Larath did some research and came up with the way to get the best shielding and avoidence by mixing.

I dont think your chart is quite corect, inflicted boots dont have any shielding according to lucy

So the best boots is Tainted, beside that most wear 2 bracers = 2 % more shielding.

with the visible gear you are able to get a total of 13 % shielding. (group)
And the part about tainted being the best boots is just imo.

That's all you need to know, but to paraphrase.

You have 3 tiers of armor. For each tier, you need the prior tier (with the option of taking crystallos prismatic group gear and skipping tier 3 armor).

Seminal is tier 3. Medial is tier 4. Eternal is tier 5.

The first part (warped, fractured, distorted, phased) just indicates which armor slot the essence is for.

Blue (luminescent) is the order type. Red (Incandescent) is the discord type.

Essence + correct tinea (based off armor slot) in cocoon = tier 3, tier 3 + essence in molting cell = tier 4, tier 4 + essence in molting cell = tier 5.
