Need Direction in Gear Selection

It has been awhile since I posted in the forums, but I am at a cross-road and need some advice from the community.

Currently at level 72, I am sitting with 12.3k HP and 2.5k AC unbuffed. I usually solo or I group with my wife (who 2-boxes a 72 Druid and 71 Warrior) and we usually use 2 healer mercs and 1 warrior merc. Looking at my gear I find that I am lacking primarily in AC as I am getting hit much harder than I would like in zones like Valdeholm which is an area I would like to go for xp. Reading over the 1-groupable aug list I see some things that I will be working towards. My question comes to my armor. What I cannot decide is if it will be possible to start working towards grouping for Warped Steel at 75+ or should I try to go for Praetorian armor from TBS which will require both faction and orum grinding?

Go for Warped Steel imo, easier to get and doesn't require the ghastly time sink. Also until your happy let the Merc Tank do the tanking and do dps, was quite astounded to see a Merc Tank Kora allbeit with 2 Clerics 1 real 1 merc keeping him up.
