Aug Question on PAL 1hs

I have been using my Stalwart Knight's Blade 76 +1/32 (125 point disease proc) and just got a new Type 4 Aug Crystal Embedded Earth Bound Stone (+3 Base DMG, +2 BS DMG) and am considering swapping out my Ikaav Summonstone (150 point DD fire proc).

I have almost maxed DEX and proc fairly often but am wondering if the Crystal Embedded (which will make the blade 79+1/32 with only the 150 point DIS proc) is better than the Ikaav Summonstone (which makes it a 77/32 with a 125 point DIS proc and 150 point fire proc).

Opinions?

If you want to do DPS use the damage aug.

However most people will instead suggest ou go with an aggro aug such as a rune (Jade ether).

The link above from Bigcat is a good one to read. The responses your same question on the SOE forums have some useful info but a lot of trash to filter out.

I'd summarise the both threads like this (at the risk of starting the whole JoTE thread again )

1. To answer your question, dmg aug > proc.
2. 1hs + shield is your defensive setup. Try to get at least one rune proc going, in the weapon and if not then the JoTE. The rune proc is about AE agro, not ST agro, not damage mitigation (though that's a slight bonus). We don't have any real AE agro tools, rune continuously beefs this up in small quantities every proc without you doing anything at all.
3. If you have a weapon rune proc already, there are merits to both adding another rune via JoTE or going the suggested AC aug instead, or in fact whatever the hell you like. Pick what you want.
4. Put dmg augs in your 2hder.
