Two Rune Procs?

Is it still benefitial to have two rune procs in my 1HS?

Currently I am using Neppigrims Longcutter with a Rune 3 aug, but I am considering replacing this aug with a Lifesap 4 aug.

I realise that the Rune effect provides AE aggro, but I am thinking that the Lifesap effect will help (minorly) with DPS and healing from crits.

Would this be a bad decision?

I use 2 runes just for the agro. The dps gain from a DD proc is really minimal and IMO the agro gain trump over it. It is fun to see the SKs on my guild moaning about paly agro being to high.

If you have 1 Rune proc up when the 2nd one fires, the 2nd one is deleted (it never fires), meaning it does nothing..doesnt even generate agro. So no, its not beneficial to have 2 rune procs on. Basically, its like if your first rune proc lands...for that split second (and happens quite a bit), u might as well be using an unaug'd rune weapon.

2 rune procs are fine, if it's bouncing you aren't tanking, get rune4 aug though

Straight from Ngreth (Save this for rainy days):

If a spell does NOT land it generates no agro (it also offers no protection)
This is different from a resist that still generates spell landed agro.
If a spell does not land, treat it like it never was cast.

This is what happens when you have 2 runes where 1 rune is higher level than the other (IE Rune V and Rune IV aug)

I think I will give the life sap aug a go. I can always switch them back if I notice a difference.

2 rune procs is the way to go, the higher rune will overwrite the lower rune (and you'll get aggro from it). If you are tanking the runes don't stick around long anyway.
