When SoF went live Burst Rk. III was in the bertox camp HoS upon reaching Ally faction and completing the Bimbalicus raid. A short time later they revamped where your unlocked Rk III's were purchased. When this went live it was pushed to Valor camp. The quest line needed to unlock this spell is lengthy. You must complete at least 1 side of the faction war quest lines in HoS. That would be Valthun's Memory Shard quest. Its possible you need both sides done. Once you have completed that the Mysterious Stranger will give you a task and have available to buy a thorned rose. Once you have the task you need to gather a raid force and turn the rose into scorn. Upon defeating this raid Scorn will drop ONE petal. The person with the task then turns the petal back in to complete the task and unlocks all valor rk. III spells.

In conclusion you must

1) finish, or come close to completion, on Valthun's Memory Shard
2) get the scorn task from a mysterious stranger
3) defeat scorn and loot the petal

Hulk, I am hearing from a guildie that's done it recently that it drops 6 petals, assuming you can't preloot also. Will confirm when 3 more people are ready for the task and we kill Scorn.

excellent thank you. Would love to eventually get BoM3, but who knows what we'll decide on in the end. At least we'll have proper information to base a decision.
