10/29/08 Patch and Group Heal

SoF group heal was boosted by about 700 points and recast was reduced to 18 seconds and the mana cost was adjusted up. SoD group heal did not change from what I could see. Also, Sustenance of Tunare heals for about 545 now instead of the 400ish it did before, and the healing recourse is 545 now too.

Did they keep the same mana cost? I see they claimed the effeiciency has been increased as well, so I'm curious as to how exactly.

And it seems odd they would change our SoF spell (not complaining at all) and not even make a small bump on the new one. But then, I guess we've seen stranger things.

It isnt strange, SoD group heal beneficiated some kind of revamp during the beta (hence the 44% boost and reduced timer ), and that revamp got extended to the SoF group heal spell.

Went from 1363 to 1601 mana and 1847 to 2336 hp.

Light line need the same treatment ;p

Does anyone know if this patch affected Aurora of Morrow as well? I only purchased the spell after this patch so I am not aware of how it was working prior to it, but currently at level 80 with minimal healing AAs Aurora is doing a total heal amount of 12308 split amoung all group members for 1300 mana. So If you only have 1 member of the group who has taken any damage, that person gets the full heal. This spell has no recast and 1.5 cast time so what it has become for me at least is a 12k direct heal for myself when working with my merc. It does not seem to work at all when not in a group though. I had thought that this spell had some rediculous mana cost, like 5k at one point, but maybe that was changed prior to this patch.

Aurora was fixed a while back before the new expansion came out

And that is correct, it will not work solo, only while in a group with at least 1 person. When using it as a group heal, careful with it. Its actually less mana effecient if you actually need to heal the whole group, but more effecient if you have to heal only a couple.
