When to level?

Postby Smiddy » Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:55 pm

In the current climate where many people are level 90 what is the view on when to level and when to AA?

As a level 80 shammy with 700+ AAs should I be pushing on, particularly since there are so few 81 -> 85 Rk 2 spells around in the bazaar?

Assuming I have placed AAs wisely - healing, cure, VP, some defensive, some critical affliction and some utility, is there any reason why pushing to 85+ doesn't make sense. I have a reasonable, not complete, set of abstruse stuff and dream mote non-visibles.

I see no reason not to just max out level and then group with people, you'll have more fun =)

I would keep pushing on to 90. The gains you get by simply leveling far outweigh the gains you get via AA (with a few notable exceptions). As Tharkis said, you'll have an easier time finding groups at level 90, particularly once you're T4 flagged. Then you can settle in and just grind the AAs (which will come nicely for you with the AA curve).
