Solo Hunting

Hi all,
I tend solo a lot, both as I enjoy the challenge, and because of my play restrictions. Anyone have info on non summoners in T 2, 3 or 4 in HoT? The trial and error process can be painful since DoTs break totem ha ha. I lived in Brells temple, Cooling, FF and foundation in UF, and spend a lot of time on alkabors animals now, but would like to expand my options.

Well kept digging where work didnt block EQ sites..Should have figured to look to the necros

the well off grounds easy root rots nothing summons ( except maybe nameds havent tried those) go to second cave room where the named scorpion and snake pop

Hello,
Sandman in MC do not summon.
I have been told puppets do not summon either, but I did not test it.

Just pulled a marionette (male model, if it matters) from the Puppeteer area and he didn't summon ... db con to 90 (vs. the yellow con to 90 sandmen that do not summon).
For comparison:
klaknaks in Al'Kabor's Nightmare are dark blue at 90 with approximately 600k hp and give approximately 19% aaxp (unmodified with stuff like LoD, etc).
marionettes in Morell's Castle are dark blue at 90 with approximately 660k hp and give approximately 29% aaxp.
sandmen in Morell's Castle are yellow at 90 with approximately 750k hp and give approximately XX% aaxp (didn't notice - double xp weekend, also).

So far, the following mobs have proven susceptible to VP, though root seems easily resisted / broken
Beast's Domain
a braxi
a sick braxi
a (3 different versions) selyrah
a hungry predator (very low hps)
a stealthy grendlaen (sees invis)

I love this expansion.
I have root-rotted all the alaran models and such on the arms of Argath, except the Regulants that summon.
I have root-rotted everything in Lunanyn except for the named and "huntsman" or "deadly huntsman" spiders, immune to changes in run speed.
I have root-rotted everything except for named in Beast's Domain (have not tried all models, but many as mentioned earlier in this thread).
I have root-rotted hammerhead sharks, great white sharks, large squid, and salt-water piranhas in Sarith (my first day in there, probably more). The king crabs summon, tough fight at 92 (with healer merc) but did 'em.
Only thing I tried in Resplendent was a diseased hopper, it didn't summon.

Best place for root-rot in the upper end for a Shaman in VoA are the constant YELLOW con Plant and Doggies in the open space area in Beast's Domain. Set yourself up near the Totem, root-rot there, because at least on my server if you doing this near Sarith ZL you're risking to run int o a NEC sooner or later who gets furious that you're pulling mobs from "his" camp (remember we're talking trash mobs here, though....nuff said).
Eventually you'll pop Tangledeath and / or A Twisted Strangler, just let the zone kill them off for you (or call on buddies to help you). Every kill down there is a guaranteed 49% AA (without Lesson). You might want to have VP AA maxed out as well as all DoT AAs plus that kinky extra Power you can get through Slot 3 Augs for certain DoT Spells. 3 Disease / Poison / Curse DoTs plus the current best 2 Fast-tic Disease / Poison DoTs kill a mob in about 1 minute or less for me.
Nice yet boring most of the time, so i seek myself some unsuspecting Level 65 mostly and lure him / her to BD and get 'em some free exp and loot. Only reduces my Exp per kill down to 39%, so not much of a loss.
