Ook, I've had it! >.<
I know that Specialize Alteration is fizzle reduction and Mana saves.
But I'm talking about typical everyday alteration, K?
What does this skill do?
Ages ago I was told in shaman channel Alteration was for Fizzles and reduces the chance of the mob resisting alteration based spells.
Being that I was nubly and new, I beleived it.
Ended up geting myself a compass of khati sha.
Found out that, well damn.
It sure seemed to land alteration spells easier.
Specificaly slow.
I left the concept of it really helping as being mythical, and filed my compass as a good luck charm solely.
But, due to some stuff coming up, specificaly:
Jelvan's west mob. First attempt we wiped,, shaman claimed she couldn't get any slows to land, CoG, Turg, CoD etc.
As a sortof half joke, I dug the ol' good luck charm out, handed it to the shaman in west, told him to arm it and see what came of it.
He landed slow easily, he said.
And an SK is claiming there's no way +alteration made a difference.
And quite frankly, I scoff at the idea too.
But I still carry my good luck charm.
Anyhoo.. does anyone know for certain wtf alteration skill is used for?
I've found stuff saying it's used to reduce fizzles and that's it.
