would only apply to items taged a sheilds. however not everything thats taged actualy looks like a sheild. if your unsure check it on lucy, item type will be sheild if it is one. the differnce with a sheild vs no sheild wont be signifigant but like everything else in the game its just one more piece that helps the whole.

its the lowest aug i got able to go into a sheild i beleive yeah. and i certainly aint dumping 10kpp into moving augs all over, and figuring out where to put them...most are slot limited anyways.
can't canni AC, and i dont get hit that often to warrant AC augs. thats my view point, someone with less avoidance and defensive AA might have a different stand. I'm just saying that AC on shields isn't "what everyone should have cause its the bestests" like ive heard in serverwide chat, now here too.
my 2cent. im already over 2k ac, 25 more on my shield doesnt benifit me much at all, considering everything in MY case. I didnt want everyone thinking they HAD to have it either.
i like #2

Fair enough.
I haven't run out and bought any AC augs to satisfy my feelings on it either, its just not worth that much to me. But if a 20-25 AC aug dropped and was already had by the 'tanking' classes, I still have LDoN augs to remove from my gear (and no desire to run LDoNs to buy more 40 HP augs than I already have), so replacing, effectively, a disease or cold resist aug that does me no good when buffed (as I max those resists buffed,) the potential for mitigation is nice.

So I take it that the AC aug I have on my ornate BP would be better served on my Shield (instead of the crappy ldon magic resist one). Now if I can just find 2k to remove the damn thing...

Without a doubt it would be better to have the resist aug in the BP, and the AC in the shield.

Well, I don't even wear the BP anymore, just use it for haste. Was going to move it to my new BP, but didn't have the cash for removing the aug. In light of the above, I'll move it to my Shield instead. Thanks for the analysis guys.

the 25 AC augs are non-lore, work in three slots (Legs, Chest Wrist iirc), or four slots, at any rate, you can have four in some combination. The one off the Blind Hunter in MPG is 20 AC and can go in the shield though.

Yeah, Lickity, the cleric epic, by virtue of being a shield is massivly advantageous to them, compared to every other priest (and caster). If Shaman Epic 1.5/2 was a properely statted shield it would have been so much better.
