Question about focus effect degradation over levels

I know that I read that bulwark of the dragorn increases spell duration by 30% and loses 5% per level over cap.

My question is the math on that degradation.

I understand it to mean this...

30 x .95= 28.5% at 71
28.5 x .95= 27% at 72
27 x .95= 25.7% at 73
25.7 x .95= 24.4% at 74
and so on...

Is this the correct math with regards to focus degradation per level over cap or is there another way it is figured? I thought I read it somewhere but I can't remember where and I can't find it.

Best way to look at it is take 5% of the focus amount and subtract it each level.

30% - (30*.05)
30% - (30*.10)
30% - (30*.15)
30% - (30*.20)


and so on until the focus reaches 0 which is 20 levels above the limit for it.
