Regarding % loss of Foci over Max Level cap...

....is there any post already existing somewhere and if so, could someone point me towards it with a link ? Would be much appreciated, because i am getting tired to have discussions with half of our casting Classes in Guild.

Most still think that if it says that when you lose 5% per level over max level cap of, lessay, a 35% max Foci at Level 80, that you be left with like 10% Foci at Level 85. Which as to my knowledge is wrong, correct way of calculation should be 5% of 35% = 1.75% per Level, resulting in 1.75% x5 (Levels over max Cap) = 8.75% deduction = 26.25% at Level 85.

You're right, they're wrong, there've been about a hundred posts on the subject, but I don't have a link to any of them. The simple test for morons though is to tell them to use a focus effect that caps far enough down in levels that it should be conferring zero benefit (like, any spell haste item that caps below 80). It should work. and spell haste is easy to see the effects of.

Your right they are wrong but your math is slighlty off when you have a fraction of a % round it up. Also its compounded so 5% of 35 = 33 @ lvl 81 , 5% of 33 = 31 @ lvl 82 and so on. You can explore a bit on this site and it will show you tables of various foci and their decay to whichever lvl you set in the parameters ... I used Beneficial Mana Preservation just as an example
