Quick gear/AA check for a returner and a few questions

Hey Heyokas

Just wanted to ask for a quick gear/AA check to see if I missed anything vital.

I'm mostly geared in old gear plus some new Ancient Heroes stuff and cheap pieces from the bazaar. Also my friend picked up some of that Rubicite stuff when it dropped while boxing me. I managed to upgrade most PoP era stuff for really no cash at all in the bazaar.

When it comes to AA's I've picked the vital ones like VP and Canni. I really haven't spent much in healing because 9 times out of 10 we have a main cleric or a paladin with cleric merc.

For the same reason, I haven't really thought about going deeper into the survivability AA's since I have a good tank, but maybe its one way to go...

I don't need any real in depth breakdowns since I'm super causal right now, just something to look out for if something comes to mind.

A few questions:

1) Is dogburn/panther a good idea for dps?
2) How to increase my burst DPS in really short fights?
3) Who has my JBB?

Hello Vigis,

You miss very handy AAs I use everytime (maybe a few need 85) :
- Turgur Swarm (replace slow)
- Malosinete (replace malo...)
- Inconspicious Totem (drop aggro)
- Mnemonic Retention (more spells)
- Spirit Walk (invis / levi / sow)

Also you should really get ASAP :
- Spell Casting Mastery (mana pres)
- Quick Buff 2
- CA / CS at least up to PoP era (8)

Secondary Forte is also useful, as Fortified Intervention

Critical Affliction, Affliction Mastery and Blood Tithe increase your dots' power

You can get Fabled JBB during Fabled time... But mine stays always in bank

Thank you! This is precisely what I was looking for.

I will immediately look into getting the AA's you mentioned. Some of them like the malo and the slow AA seem really good because they free up spell slots. Is the recast and the resists on the AA slow good enough to permanently drop the spellgem slow?

Gear wise you might want to invest in a beneficial range ring, Heal Focus Neck (just in case you need to heal) and Definately pick up a beneficial duration cloak. Those 3 foci will be really useful. Also for DPS might want to pick up a Poison Damage Bracer.

Concerning gear, I think a new window of opportunity opened up, my Paladin tank friend with whom I play 98% of the times is starting his trial to a good progression raiding guild on the server (we also happen to know an officer in the guild irl who also posts here on the crucible from time to time /wave Rennia) , that means I can usually tag along in groups and on flag missions and get the leftovers.

So I will keep my eyes peeled for the focus effects Survivar mentioned while working to put in the slow/malo/aggrowipe AA as i level towards max level ^_____^

The basic foci for neck & cloak are available for buyable Silver Tokens from the merchant in Brell's Rest. Bene range focus has to be acquired from a mob drop, but shouldn't be stressed over since it isn't very functional outside raids anyhow.

Ah, yeah someone I met told me otherwise, but I had begun to doubt it, thanks for clearing it up.

Anyway I still have a few levels to grind before the cap raises.
