Parts for Belfast

Didnt see any info on this anywhere but I was wondering what the point was of doing the Parts for Belfast quest? From what I understand you collect several uncommon items and end up with a specific "book" as a reward. What is the use of the book? I am almost done with two of the solo tasks but someone recently told me the reward is only good for tradeskill recipes. Can anyone confirm this? The only tradeskill I do is alchemy so do not want to waste the time of doing these tasks if it will end up being useless to me. Any extra info would be appreciated. The solo tasks I am talking about is the one named after the Album, Edition, etc books you receive once task is completed.
