Preincarnation ?'s

ok i've got couple questions bout this spell. I've used it once and was group'd with my guild leader +cleric bot, me+shm, and couple others during BN in MMM. Con got nail'd and the Preincarnation fired on me but he couldn't cast on himself, after that i've stuck with 2nd life. SO:

1- can somebody explain this spell better to me than the lame description on the spell?
2- is it worth using Preincarnation rk2 more than 2nd Life rk2

Second Life and Preincarnation both work the same on you. Same chance to fire when your hitpoints get to 0, same effect if either one fires (invuln, HoT). However, if Preincarnation DOESN"T work on you, and you die instead, then everyone else in your group gets the Preincarnation Incarnation effect on them. Preincarnation Incarnation effect is a 1m 30s buff like Second Life with 10% chance to save THEM if they die after you go down.
