Is the Idol of Malos still generating aggro?

I am asking this because ENC have gotten a similar idol with their Arcane Disjunction Aura, which quasi sets up a Tash area. The advantage is that this tash is coded as a beneficial effect and therefore does not generate any aggro.

Could we get Idol of malos changed to this operation modus, as a beneficially coded debuff aura?

Or atleast make it untargetable like the ENC one.

Looking at the for the Enchanter spell, it looks to me like it's an aura that moves with the Enchanter, not a turd that remains in place after the Shaman drops it.

I just got around to getting this spell Idol of Malos made up (didn't do the quest) but for some reason I can't mem it in my spell book.

Any reason why?

So is there any effort to get this changed at all?

Sounds like you already have the spell scribed. Perhaps someone made it for you in ages past, put it on your character while botting?

^^ Yep. Right-click on an empty spell gem and go to ... Traps, I think it is, and see if Idol is there.

Sorry to rezz this zombie thread, but I really would like to know why apparentlya nobody cares about the idol of malo problem at here?

I think if it was changed to the ENC version, of an aggrofree untarbetable trap it would be a useful tool. So why arent we pushing for that?

For myself, I don't care about it because I don't view it as a problem. I suppose it could be improved in some ways, but I really don't see the Idol as something that needs to have a clamor raised over it.

Are you asking for a change to the level 70 spell or a new totem?
If you are asking for a change to the current totem, I don't use it at all anymore and don't care if they ever change it. Wind of Malisene is a much better resist debuff, very fast cast time and can be precast as long as you don't move. I don't really see a need or want for the old totem to be changed.
If you are asking for a new totem, yea, maybe, very rarely would I use this. Wind seems to have replaced the totem for me and I don't really want or need a different version.

So I guess it doesn't matter for me either way, I don't care if it is changed or if they give us a new totem.
