edit: I had to edit to remove some sub-65 dots from the calculation. Thanks for the heads up Gukak! - also, to clarify, I wasn't trying to "prove" anything with this post. I was doing some other stuff with some logs I had and thought I would post this data for future reference. I'm personally still happy with GOM and looking forward to the upcoming enhancements. I seen the canni nerf coming from day 1 and this post has nothing to do with that. /edit



(January 9 - January 24 log)
(Double xp weekend I spent lots of time PLing my enchanterbot in the nest/hive instances, so I was casting a ton of dots. In normal play, I'd cast 1/10 as many dots as in this log)

I have Gift of Mana 3. I do NOT have any levels of abundant healing.
Eligible Spells are (yoppa's mending, dots, nukes, and regen)

Just to add my own (small) finding:

Taken from thread:
I went back and looked at my logs from Dec. 8 out of curiosity. I do not have Abundant Healing.
I came up with the following numbers for GOM3 procs and the spells that made it proc:

1. DOT's: Sisslak, Yoppa ... five procs
2. DD's: Yoppa's Spear ... one proc
3. Direct Heals: Wilslik's, Yoppa's, Daluda's: 12 procs

Twelve procs over approximately two hours (in a raid) out of 141 total blast heal casts (in that same raid).

141/12 = 11.75.

Please keep in mind I am totally inept at math.

All spell work has been on hold since the middle of Dec., with energies focussed on PoRo expansion. Expect GoM fix first half of March.

I still want to see the same type of parse from each of the classes. I'd like to be able to compare the overall effectiveness for GoM for each class. I think we'll find that in it's current form, GoM is a poor return on investment for shaman.
