The only differences between any version of the same slot on the same tier seem to be in the mod2s. It's hard to say which is better since a lot of it isn't on Lucy yet.

Basically, you start with Seminal Luminessences or Incandessences. Lumins are "good" and Incands are "ebil." Seminal drops in FoS. Lumins make Concordant armor, Incands make Discordant. The containers and such for doing the combine are available starting in void C.

The next tier is Toskirakk, where you get Medial essences. A lumin added to Concordant armor will make "Vested," while an incand added to Concordant will make it "Balanced." A lumin added to DIScordant will also make Balanced, while an incand added to Discordant will make Chaotic. Containers for these combines start in void E I believe.

The last tier is Bloodfields, and Eternal essences.
Vested + lumin = Ordained
Vested + incand = Tarnished
Balanced + lumin = Tarnished
Balanced + incand = Tainted
Chaotic + lumin = Tainted
Chaotic + incand = Inflicted

If you have Prismatic crystallos gear (all 4 essences), you can skip right to tier 4 (Vested/Balanced/Chaotic) by using a Mutation Nexus sold by Zeb, but you have to have void F access. Instructions on this are also on Rasper's site at the bottom of the page.

Now that all (or almost all) of the armor pieces are known, would you go the Concordant or Discordant route, and which gear would you work toward for the final set?

I'm just now getting the Void access I need to get the armor, a little advice would be appreciated.

The mods are a huge scramble across the different pieces of the different sets. You need to evaluate slot-by-slot which has the mods you really want (shielding and avoid, probably). No one set has higher anything-in-particular on all its pieces.

Aye not only do ya need to compare each piece slot to slot but need to track all the way to the end result to be sure youll make th pieces that has the best results for the Mod 2's ya want. I t can be a true pain in the rear to track out to the end result, but with the Culling Vortices its atleast easier to "fix" a mistake if you end up with a result your not after.

Now supposedly mixing and matching will gimp stats on the emblem for bp.

Not to mention Ngreth is supposedly looking into bumping up the mod2's across the board because Merloc made a hash of them... So I would personally hold off in case they decided to do something completely opposite of the effect that you'd be attempting to create.

emblem doesn't lose stats for different piece names anymore, it all goes by Tier now.

so you can min/max with different piece names and still have 100% emblem.

I recently PM'd Ngreth about a long ago one liner he put out about possibly making a Emblem that would boost a complete Armour set a little more than a mixed set.

He replied that there was no time available and didn't see time becoming available, so yes feel free to mix and match.
