new AA "Extended Pestilence" isn't as awesome as I thought

SHM AA "Extended Pestilence" appears to have no effect on DoT duration. it is supposed to add 1 tick / level with up to 3 levels.

I have purchased all 3 levels of this AA (12 x 3 = 36 AAs) and my DoT durations showing up when vie mob buffs is the same as before the AAs were bought.

Using "Nectar of Slitheren" spell as an example, duration is 7 ticks, 42 seconds.

My duration focus item is Tunare's Ear with 35% detrimental focus on spells up to lvl 85. 35% is 14.7 seconds. And when I cast this dot, the duration when it lands on mob tends to vary randomly between 48 and 55 seconds. I believe there some variance/randomness built into that focus effect so that you do not aways get 35%.

In any case, that is the range of duration I was getting before the AA and after the AA. If my 3 levels of Extended pestilence were working correctly, 1 tick/lvl means I should have 18 seconds added to spell for a duration of 60 seconds even if I'm not wearing a focus item. With focus item duration should be up to 73 seconds give or take a few seconds.

Are others seeing the same thing that I am? Or have most not obtained this AA yet?

It's been mentioned in other threads, but just wanted to note here that HoT added a 4th level to Extended Pestilence which adds a tic AND makes it a passive ability.
