Maybe its the effective casting level?

Spirit of Wolf: Increase Movement by 34% (L9) to 55% (L50)

While they all have effect Spirit of Wolf, the speed will increase because the potions "level" is higher.

I also looked up the new cure potions. The cure disease one said the same thing: Cures from 1 to 36 disease counters based on level.

Hmmm, according to eqtraders sells for over 30p. That means the cost for making Philter of the Wolf IV will be over 35p. I hope that's a pre-patch price, because there's going to be great wailing and gnashing of teeth in Bazaar if the price of the fastest Spirit of Wolf goes up by 30p per dose.

On the Abysmal Sea:

Birthwart, Fenugreek, 0.524 from Jorlan Hedgeway
Bugbane, 0.787 from Jorlan Hedgeway
Plain Potion Vial, 1.574 from Lita Hedgeway
Measure of Wolf Blood, 0.524 from Lita Hedgeway

Total cost 3.933, a lot lower than the old cost of 5.25, IIRC.

Maddoc,

I just now made a PoWIV and when right clicked, it has no required level. When I looked at ones previously, there was also no required level. this leads but one conclusion for me... the reasoning behind designating I thru V is to allow shaman to continue to level their alchemy skills while making this staple potion. Is there anything I'm missing in this?

Well, sorry. I just do the tables all in html. I'm not sure if you could save it locally and open it with Word or Excel or not. And I really didn't want to step on EQTraders' toes by putting full descriptions and trivial levels on it - just a handy way to figure out what each of the recipes are, without having to have a unique entry for every strength of every potion - that level of detail is better suited to a database, and EQTraders is already set up for it, with linked subcombines and what-all.

Shaman Info > Abilities > from the pulldowns.
