shroud question?

I shouded down to a Warr 70 lvl but i could not give the shouded toon a weapon?

Shouded 70 war (had fun not having to worry about healing or keeping the toons up but I really need a weapon for better dps I think)

Shrouds were designed to not utilize weapons. I don't think there has been any change to this since they came out.
