BEFORE you get this mission you must either have completed another mission in the arc or turned in Cicero's Torn Notebook -- dropped by the random spider by the city of Xill in Stoneroot Falls.
The Lost Notebook is the first mission in the story arc to rescue Cicero, a gnome which has been captured by drachnids and taken into the Hive. The mission takes about 45-90 minutes to complete depending on how lucky you get on drop rates. The zone-in for this mission is in Stoneroot Falls. It's your standard collect mission. Kill the monsters throughout the zone. On a semi-rare basis they will drop portions of a notebook. You need to collect all nine pieces to complete the mission. If you're interested in the lore, each book does have some information about the expansion that you might enjoy. After completing all nine you can (optionally) combine the 9 pieces in the notebook container to keep the journal for yourself. (THIS is optional and gives nothing but text no reward for handing it in)

Cavern Botany will take you a while depending on drop rates. You are ordered to go into an instance off of Corathus and collect 2 specimens of 5 different types of mushrooms. The zone is populated by sporali which drop these mushrooms.
Simply kill sporali until you collect all the mushrooms and head back to complete the mission. This will take you anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how fast you kill and how lucky you get on drops. At the end, a chest will spawn at the zone-in.
Manasheen toadstools When picked up fill your mana bar.
Sap stem roots when picked up fill your health
Retch spots when picked up dot you very minor dot nothing to worry about

Wydrth the Watcher spawns in the room to the SW.(Might have to open cocoons for him to spawn but I never got an emote like someone suggested) Clear to the room and bring him down to 50 percent health. He will being non-killable and walk away spawning 2 drachnids right beside him, kill the two spawns. He may spawn randomly but both the times Ive done this he was in the same spot. Next invis everyone up and watch out for SI there should be that many in the way and head to the NW room, the named will be in the center on the hill surrounded by mobs. @ mobs roam around the center by him and there are alot of static spawns. I find that the best way to handle this is t skirt around to the opposite side of the tunnel you came in kill the static spawn there and the roamer the paths over you. Then pull the named to that corner and off him. named didn't ramp or do anything hit kinda fast but was ultimately a wuss. The chest reward was on this boss. When named dies you win the mission

This is the final mission for the Cicero story arc. Upon completing it you can get your level 69 spell if you have completed all other missions in the arc .Get the spell by hailing Brother Hidden Path near the prophets tent. Finally, after all your trouble and searching, its time to go rescue that pesky gnome Cicero. Fortunately, this mission is fairly quick. Invis your way up the hive stopping right before the last room. Clear roamers then clear the two guardians inside the second room.Upon killing the second guardian the Named will spawn. Nothing special about him, hits a little harder, has a little more hit points, nothing major. Once he's dead an aged cocoon spawns and upon the opening of the aged cocoon the gnome will pop out and ask you to follow you out of the zone.
He will lead you
back Up to the first room
then back down bypassing the named room
then to the third room
then bypass the fourth room
and then All the way to the bottom of the hive, stopping on the way to kill any spider he sees and open various cocoons which spawn freed drachnids. When he reaches the zone-in at the bottom, he'll thank you and you'll complete the mission.

Zoning in you will need to find the treasure chest. It will be in one of the four tunnels Labeled
Left1(partly underwater chest spawns in the left hand water area near weeds) Left2(short tunnel chest is behind the partial wall chest is right where you drop into the pit) Right1(5 mobs in it leads to the bottom of the pit(trap) at end of the ramp near zin) Right 2(partly underwater very few mobs in there usually chest spawns near some weeds)
You need to hug the walls to avoid it.I prefer to clear R1 so if a mob falls into it accidental it will not train all five mobs onto you
Chest holds the key to the door behind the Guardian of the pit.
Find the living Shiliskin captives, door behind the Guardian of the Pit(very tough mob rampages 1st and 2nd aggros),quad hits 1500ish
Open the door to find the Shiliskin captives.Kill 10 captive Shiliskin captives. Kill the monsters inside this room and as you attack them they will despawn and respawn as Shades. Kill 10 of the shades to complete this step to finish.
Only mobs that turn into shades have the title Shilgrave...they hit hard and are perma hasted so slow needs stuck asap

There are 7 praetorian guards in this zone
five are up top 2 are in the water tunnels
Praetorian guards are very tough trash mobs they don't rampage and have a ton of hp
trash mobs can drop random loot.
Once in the mission you will need a puller to split these mobs. The zone is roughly circular, and if you go left or right you will end up in the same room. I recommend pulling in a counterclockwise fashion starting with the room on the right then clearing the room on the left and setting up base camp in left room.Pull from the right room If you pull from the other direction the Mob's can path clockwise and bring a large train. The mission is relatively straightforward. The mobs do hit hard. The goal is to kill a number of Praetorian guard, loot their skulls, and turn them into Jarzarrad. clear the top rooms. There is a pit in the middle of the zone that leads to some underwater caverns.(which have 6-7 easy pulled witherans that will path up the ramp by the right room. There were two praetorian down there, but about 3-6 mobs will have to be cleared to pull them. Easily can pull them up to the top and out of the water.I actually prefer to take the group down into the chamber and pull there to save the puller the trouble of going through those annoying tunnels.

As soon as you hail Stillpool you will be teleported to the mission. This is a monster mission and so everyone will have to select a monster. Obviously you need a warrior, cleric and enchanter type. For damage class, a rogue is more preferable to a wizard. The rogue does an insane amount of damage. This may be broken at the moment, but if the rogue unequips their weapons, they will do a lot more damage and hit very fast. The rogue was parsed at about 900 DPS.Once in the mission, go to your AA abilities window to spend your monster points. I found the best way to do this was to only train abilities up until the point where they got too expensive. Once the abilities started to go over 8 or so points per rank, I switched to buy a different ability. The higher ranks did not seem to provide as much of a benefit. I only played a cleric, so I do not know about the other classes, but I received a greater benefit from having spell haste, mental clarity, improved healing, and mana preservation all worked up to an average level, instead of just having one ability maxed.
Another note is that if you are a caster and run out of mana, the best thing to do is to go and die. These monster templates have about 14k mana, and it regens slowly. If you die, you respawn with about 40% mana. There is no XP penalty for death that I have noticed so far.
After spending all ability points, the whole group needs to run from the zone in to the Emperor. This is a small zone, and he is just directly ahead. There will be no mobs at this point. When you are ready to begin, hail him and about 15 drachnids will spawn at the zone in and then move out into the room. Some will stay put, and some will wander. If the group moved to the Emperor, you will be safe. If you stayed at the zone in, you will all die. In my group the warrior did the pulling. He just waited for the roaming mobs to path away, and he was able to get singles. The aggro assist radius seems to be very low. Once you kill all the mobs, a second wave will spawn. Kill these in the same manner. A named spawns in this second wave. Before pulling him, move out to away from the Emperor to like the middle of the room. Kill him and any remaining spawns. Once all of the drachnids are dead, move back the emperor and you will be ported back to the Undershore.

Upon accepting the mission, the zone will give an emote that something foul is coming out of Ilsalin.Once outside the tent, a large gargoyle named "The Seeker" will spawn up the road and begin walking toward Jarzarrad's hut. Your group should engage him right away. He doesn't hit that hard.During the fight (need percents)he will spawn a 2 adds that can be mezzed. When he hits 0% hit points, he will respawn as a Shattered Image of the Seeker which is slightly harder but still nothing to worry about for a well-prepared group. After you kill him, go back inside to Jarzarrad and hail him to complete the mission.

This is the final mission in the Jarzarrad's story arc.Upon finishing this mission, you may hail Brother Hidden Path to receive your level 70 spell if you have completed the other 4 missions in the progression.
This mission takes place in the zone of Shadowspine. In the room at the start is a giant orb.
Clicking the orb will spawn 3 shades that need to be killed. Once the room is clear, there are bridges leading down either side to other rooms. Each room has an orb and some librarians. You can ignore the librarians as they will not aggro. Each orb will spawn 1 named monster. One is a floating scythe and one is some floating swords.
Neither is too hard but are Very resistant to magic Disease slow works though. When they are dead you can progress past either side to the final chamber. He's not too hard, has a couple random AEs that don't do much and a decent amount of hit points.Once he's dead, you can head up the stairs in the same room to the Fragment of Draygun at the top. Kill him and you will complete the mission. A couple minutes after he's dead you'll be automatically ported out of the zone

given from the fortune teller when you hail him after completing the various arcs: -given after completing Shadowalker Dustspirit arc
-given after completing Widdlethorpe arc
- given after completing the 69 spell arc
-given after completing the 70 spell arc
finally those rewards above are placed in

the shroud is given to you by completing the FT1-FT5 which the various clickies are placed into the container and combined to make this three stage evolving item:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (only normal settings on this arc one time through)

talk to Widdlethorpe(he will only give you 1 mission the lowest one you have completed), He will send you to the instanced zone the korlach lair. Second function is to find the priests which are located in the middle of the map 3 rooms in to the left hand tunnel. ALL the mobs there are mezzable even the high priest. Pull and kill the 5-6 guards FD or bard will work. The guards will respawn like the rest of this zone. When you kill the guards 2 priests will rush you and you'll get a task stage update. kill the two priests and the high priest will spawn(mezzable) This is the tough part. Each 25% of health you deal the high priest he will raise 4 Shiliskin to serve him. The best way to handle them is to mez the high priest and kill the adds being sure to keep aggro on the priest so he don't Regen his hp. So you will basically get mobs at 75% 50% 25%.....The guards in the room will possibly be respawned by this time if your not quick so you'll have to clear to the chest.
Chest contains 1 item of loot and the piece of coral. You have to hand the coral into Widdlethorpe(in Stoneroot falls) to complete this quest.

Go to the basilisk at the other side of the zone, and you will find a young witheran on the surface to your left. Use the coral you received from Widdlethorpe (must equip to use), it will charm the witheran. Fight back to the entrance of the zone, on your way you will encounter the 4 witheran protectors that you need. After killing all 4, exit the zone to finish (do not port out).

Talk to Widdlethorpe he sends you into the korlach lair off Stoneroot falls.
1 find entrance
2 collect 4 aged witheran larva skin
3 collect 4 basilisk tongues
4 collect 4 witheran feeder guts
5 deliver 4 aged witheran larva skin(no drop)
6 deliver 4 basilisk tongues(no drop)
7 deliver 4 witheran feeder guts(no drop)
The biggest issue here is not skipping rooms, and sending a scout ahead to make sure the traps? are set off so no one can accidentally set them off.(need more info on the location of the traps as it seems random to me)This map respawns on about a 15 minute timer, so have to get a medium fast pace. High dps is good here. The chest is located in the basilisk room have to deliver the parts to Widdlethorpe for cursor reward as well.

Head to the other end of the zone, past Korlach, the deep leviathan. You will see a Drachnid with a leviathan in front of him. Clear the room. When engaging the Drachnid, he will mend/heal himself to 85% at 80%-60%-40%-20% HPs, and then become stronger (hits harder), at some point, he will summon 1 basilisk add, which you can mez/root to keep him away from group. At 10% of it's health he will heal himself a final time to 50%, at which point he will not heal/mend anymore. So finish him off to complete the mission. If you don't leave in 2-3 min, you will be booted out, either way your mission will be completed.

OPTIONAL:
Enter the lair, you can reach Korlach at the basilisk cave, invised all the way, mobs are not mezzable, and are red con. Engage Korlach, the deep leviathan. Bring Korlach under control. Basically though, beat him down until you see an emote that he is weakened to magical influences (about every 20%), then make sure everyone stops attacking him, spam the coral stone on him (kill the adds as they pop, usually 5-6 adds) and eventually the stone will land.
This mission CAN be done with group even with it's HARD difficulty, and has been. This mission can also be done with a raid which makes the event very EASY.

His Hp will not regen up while he ports. At nearly 50%, he will port down to the bottom chamber, run down and engage again. AS his HPs go down, he will set off traps, which includes Blind, and 3 AE, which are Ceticious Cloud, Arcane Venom spell, Rain of Poison, if it fails to kill your group, he will run outside to the living bridges, and run around trying to confuse and kill your group 1 by one, have your tank get on him asap, and burn him down. When that is done, attack namer, at 35% he will run and exit to the south, to another instance. Zone in, you're in the Shiliskin instance at the very top. This layout is the same as rescue Cicero, except you're on the top not the bottom. You can fight down, or levitate down. Once you at the bottom, clear the roamers and a few mobs around the bottom of the room. Pull the namer and kill him, he's rather simple, no sneaky tricks. Once he's dead you get a chest reward. Go to Ruins of Ilsalin, go to the Wallwatcher's Citadel, which is probably marked on your map, and probably came across this if you did the slipgear quest.Inside the building if you go up, you will see a cocoon in the corner. To open it, clear the room where it's at, the bottom and the bridge of drachnids and anything else that's KoS. Once cleared /open the cocoon, and a sporali pops out by the name of Neran Sporestomp.

Invis very quickly and follow the sporali to the broken bridge(not the nargilar pits or the korlach temple bridges but the broken bridge right after that), and follow it, it will head down the ramp, south, out the room, across, the bridge, into the next room, up the ramp, and outside, all straight south. Outside you will come across a broken bridge, stand in front of him fast, and you will be thrown all the way to the other side, if you miss it, you can climb the wall to the left of the broken bridge and get to the instance fairly simple that is a gargoyle sitting up there as well so you will need invis).. during the run, he will may aggro drachnids, you don't have to assist to save him. Once across enter the door by clicking, you will enter an instance similar to the Praetorian Guard, which is the same layout as 70.2 of spell progression. From here you will need to find the alchemist. To find/pop him, you must clear and crawl your way through, cause there are Repops. Crawl your way though to the center of the zone, where you see the big pool of water. Go down, and fight your way through the underwater tunnels. At the end you will come across and underground cave. Clear the room of all mobs in the underground cave, and you will pop the alchemist, he will pop in the room, he's a red con, and very easy, he just has a ton of HPs. Kill him, loot the gem, turn it into Belfast to complete your mission. This mission MAY be timed upon zone in, believed to be 1 hour, to kill a certain amount of mobs to pop named.

Destroy 10 creep reaper guards. Destroy the hurt machine. The hurt machine is located in the Eastern portion of the zone, if you have a map, it's in the NE part of the zone, at the dead end. The namer is rather easy. Recover Fibblebrap's core, from the hurt machine. Then turn in core to Belfast to complete the arc.

Hail the Freemind cipher and he will give you The last migration mission. Which is basically leading a mushroom from the very back of the zone to the zin. This zone has a chest that randomly spawns in one of the tunnels(chest only contains the key to the door further in) for simplicity sake I labeled them L1 L2 and R1 and R2. There is a pit right down the ramp from zone-in within the pit are 5 random mobs usually 2 zombies and 3 Shiliskin. There are several roamer mobs in this zone and I find it easiest to pull the roamers first then pick off the singles one at a time. The hard part is finding the chest. Using the mage spell eye of Zomm saves alot of time or if your a gnome like me stalking probes. I suggest clearing the entire center portion of the zone and R2 tunnel with the pit. That makes it easier to pull everything so in case your puller drops one in the pit only it will come back. After your done clearing the middle, and found the chest, then clear the tunnel the chest is in(hopefully it is the pit from R2 tunnel) ignore everything else(the other tunnels do not have to be cleared). Your now ready to pull the Guardian up to zone-line and kill him. This beast hits hard 2kish and he quads at times that can easily wipe a 12k tanker. It also rampages so it is good to have a secondary tank to absorb the rampage. I usually assign the puller to secondary ramp. I suggest a 16k tanker for this mob though I've succeeded with a 14k paladin a few time. Next thing if your tank falls zone-line is right there easy to pick up the pieces if you need to, after the guardian is dead you can open the door(this instance the door opens and closes as many times as you need to) There will me many mobs in there and the mushroom you need to hail. Don't hail eh mushroom till everything is dead. There will be a few mobs that have the name Shilgrave as a title these will despawn and shades will appear during the fight they hit hard and fast and will wipe an unsuspecting cleric. When all the mobs are dead in the next room you will hail the mushroom and follow it out(note the Shilgrave in this zone are the only things that respawn so if your slow you might have to fight one again) When t he mushroom reaches the first room two final mobs will spawn and try to kill the mushroom. They are just normal mobs and the mushroom is very effective dps but low hp so be sure he doesn't get hit.The shroom will run up the stairs and zone out normally The chest will spawn at zone-line with the single reward. The item will appear on your cursor and you are effectively done.
...P.S....he is buggy and has been known to be buggy and walk back down the stairs and re-trigger the two mobs you killed last.......this can happen several times.

easy and hard settings NO REPOPS though minions are summoned throughout the mission

Need high enough faction to talk to Calisar in Stoneroot falls, Talk to him, get the quest he hands you four alter stones. (Anyone can get the stones by simply saying "more" to Calisar. Then head over to the NPC across from him silit? and say ready.......Inster port into the instanced version of the hive On the living bridge near the door to where "the cocoons" instanced would be in the hive.
The summoning chambers are the red circles on the map the living bridges open into each chamber. There are four summoning alters. Each alter is guarded by one SI mob "a Drachnid ritualist" and a slew of normal mobs.

There is a yellow emote each time the alter summons a minion. The minion is Auto aggro and will attack the closest person to it, or so it seems. These minions on easy setting are ultra easy. totally mezzable and can be kited.

-KILL A CERTAIN NUMBER OF DRACHNIDS-{added because of soloists exploiting the zone}

Hand in four alter stones to the alters THEN you will talk to the mob that ports you out of the instanced version..........When you talk to him he will spawn the cursor drop and Spawn the chest next to him.

Hail Vorgin and he will ask you to enter the leviathans lair and retrieve 3 items for him.
The zone is medium size and mostly mobs will single pull. There are alot of witheran and Shiliskin in here.
There are several chest-like things in the water and some of them give off nasty AOE 8k damage traps. You have to open the chest-like things which are a pain to see because they look like part of the zone environment. when you get to the korlach your party cannot engage him or the task will end. He has a very small aggro radius though thankfully. Personally I skirted to the left on the zone-wall when we reached him.
When you loot the 3 items you go back and give them to Vorgin.

OK when you speak to Vorgannoth he will begin walking toward the korlach temple going toward the Winged watcher up on the hill. Vorgannoth can be charmed by level 70 charm spell, can be mezzed by enc or bard, can be rooted and snared. he will attack anything on the way to the zone line of the instanced korlach temple. He will re-track his steps to just next to the bridge to the mob infested room his pathing leads him through. You can memblur blue him and clear to that point and he will walk back to the end of the bridge right inside and start his walk to the korlach temple. This is OK just clear everything while he is mezzed. When he gets to the temple he will have dialog and says he will meet you inside. He is right inside the zone-line of the instanced korlach temple. This zone does not respawn and needs to be cleared to the last mob. Every room must be cleared before you hand in the 6 alter stones that Vorgannoth gives you on the inside of the temple. DO NOT hail Vorgannoth till everything is wiped out, He will become your pet and make the adventure all the more tough because if he dies the mission will not complete.
There are no hard hitting mobs in this zone the biggest mob in there hits for 1.5 k once in a while i would use a 12k tanker through this mission easily. A competent puller is a must in this zone there are various different areas that will get many adds if you don't fade or FD or even use the zone-out to remove aggro. When you clear the entire zone you hail Vorgannoth and hand in all the alter stones(he give s you 8 but you will only use six)
On the final 6th hand in a dark guardian will spawn and CALL every mob in zone to him so you will have to fight everything in zone on this fight if you didn't clear it. The dark guardian will spawn outside the last room in the underwater tunnel. He will then move to the path up from the water tunnel and stop there if he hasn't got any aggro. He is a very weak named I don't even think he quads. He is basically a beefed up winged watcher.
The reward drops from the dark guardian, There can also be random loot from the trash mobs in this zone.

Random loot of of trash mobs from zombie wizard.

1 Strat per message probably easiest, rather than having them all in one. But I will say I do like the detailed walkthroughs

quick question on 69.2 Cavern Botany (hard).....been through this twice with a 3 box setup and failed both with 8 of 10, and 9 of 10....goddam Nimbus Mushroom Stalks both times.....anyway would there be any benfit of collecting the last Nimbus Muschroom Stalk in a fresh instance, and then doing the combine with the items from previous missions? Would that trigger anything, or be of any value at all?

or any tips on collecting Nimbus Stalks?
