My civics might be a bit rusty, but I'm pretty sure you have to have at least 270 electoral votes to win the presidency. If two have 270, then it goes to the President Pro Tempore [sic].
If a third party candidate causes none of the candidates to get 270 electoral votes, then I'm not real sure what happens. I think maybe the electoral college delegates are unbound from their candidate and negotiate until 270 of them agree on one guy.
