That's a great idea.
Perhaps ingame commands like /setresolution [ min| 1 | 2 | 3 | max ] perhaps, where 1/2/3 are settings you can set and save similar to spellsets, only for display options/particles/dynamic lighting/models/etc?

yeah, that'd all be handy. you could do all kinds of stuff if you could just access backup ini files in-game. you could have different chat settings in addition to just the visual, or whatever. nomatter how they worked it, it'd be pretty nice to do with a couple clicks in-game, and it probably wouldn't be all that hard to do.
