How hard is Texvu and Tacvi these days, and what would be the minimum requirements group wise?

My friend and I are wanting to clear these 2 raids with 85 rogue with 80 bot Cleric and 85 Monk with 80 bot Shm and have never done them before. All our aa's stand pretty well maxed at 1500 each (atleast the important aa's are maxed out) and all characters have HoT t1 armour in all slots, some T2 and UF raid weapons.

I have read Allah's post, but I am sure someone has figured out some tricks since then just cant seem to find any.
Is it possible with this set-up?

I think you need at least 6 toons (and of course merc not allowed) to take raid ?
With a war friend we wanted to do inkuta's raid (we both need the BiC piece), we can log 6 toons, but at one point a minimum of 16 is needed to go further, but this is specific for this raid.

If I remember right you can use the Tank/DPS Mercs on the last mob that can only be damaged by charm/pets or whatever, unless that was fixed, shouldnt be too bad

I recently attempted to box Txevu with a shaman (lvl 90) / paladin (lvl 84). The Shaman has SoD Raid gear and a T5 DPS merc. The paladin had HoT Tier 1/2 gear and a T4 Cleric merc. Both toons have around 1800 AA.

Bottom line, every raid encounter was doable except the last one (the guy who banishes toons to jail cells) and I got him to 10-15%. I only wiped 1 other time in the zone to the Ukun Bloodfeaster (wasn't prepared for so many adds at once), but got him the second time around without any problems. Hope that helps.

Txevu and Tacvi are very doable with how powerful characters are now. A friend and I were duoing the zone for fun and for alts back when we were 85 with very little trouble after learning the curves for each boss -- it was mostly on cures, dpsing efficiently while having mana to cast heals, dealing with adds or mechanics. It was one of the better raid zones, in my opinion, beacuse there is only 1 trash mob, although they were very hard back at 65, before each boss. Here's a little bit of my knowledge regarding the 2 zones:

Txevu -- a few clickies here for specific classes, so look at Illia and see if there's any side trips you desire for a clicky or 2. Boss of the zone is Zun Muram Tkarish Zekt (or something along those lines). He can only be damaged by summoned pets (pets summoned by any class's spells or by pet procs), charmed pets (originally the purpose of the encounter), and unresistable spells (includes weapon procs). The fight itself is a tank and spank, but the random banish to a jail is where most people will die. If you do not escape the jail cell within 10-15 seconds, then these spirit guys will come kill you somehow (I don't know if you get DT'd or just get swarmed cuz I never died in a jail cell before). In order to win the fight you will need to be able to escape the jail cell by some means -- whether it be lockpick from a rogue/bard friend or by illusioning through the cell bars. Our Pact of the Wolf works for this, but is not the best illusion for the space -- wolf is a bit large. Auto-run or just hold down forward run at the door/bars of the cell, pop your INSTANT CAST illusion, and duck to see if you fit through the bars. If you do not, hit duck key again to stand up, click off the illusion while still running forward, and you should pop out of the door/bars. With this method the only way you would die is if you ran out of mana to keep pets/mercs alive in the fight, since the only thing that can technically kill you at higher levels is the jail cell mechanic.

Some recommendations on killing him quicker: To access his room, one requires a key from the High Priest event (search Illia > Txevu > High Priest XYZ for the event information) to open the giant stone door. If you use the illusioning method, you don't need the key. This is good for players who have access to instant illusions, and sucks when you're trying to drag your friends along who may not have one. Additionally, use one of our unresistable weapon procs -- Hand of Holy VEngeance IV or whatever it is that does like 230 damage (may be higher now) and a group heal. This procs a lot and hits ZMT, as well as keeps ppl healed up. If you happen to have a Mace of the Ancients from collecting the Elemental Planes Planar Essences (all 4), then the pet proc from this will damage ZMT. In addition, you can also run the Lguk LDON raid (cannot remember which, so you'll have to do some digging) for the pet proc aug. Stick that in whatever weapon you are going to use for hurting ZMT to bump up your dps a bit. Any pet aa's, spirit call/pet swarms, or unresistable sources of damage will go through. This is where the dps mercs set to Burn will shine! Txevu allows mercs in the zone, so use that to your advantage and handle the healing for once, while they dps for you.

With this method, onecould probably solo ZMT, as he is not very difficult, but the first few tries of it will probably result in some wipes. One must get a little bit of a learning curve with his encounter before reaping the rewards of success -- BIC, if you're lucky enough to have Inktuta done -- and the Signet of Command.

Tacvi -- A fun zone where there is NO TRASH to clear! There is one big Mastruq that guards the door to each boss, and is considered more like a miniboss and is the only "trash" in the zone. Some of the bosses will spawn multiple adds in their encounters though. Doors are normally locked until you kill the boss or bosses that connect to that specific door, but this can be bypassed via the illusioning method. Insta illusion cast, duck, and slip through the door. If that doesnt work, stand up, keep running into the door, and pop your illusion off. This helps with actually fighting who you want for the clickies you want, but doesnt help with running your alts in to come get the items. Doors will be locked for them, so leaving one wing with access to a Mastruq miniboss to kill them is handy so you can corpse drag. Dueling works as well.

At the time I was doing this regularly, mercs were able to be used to request the expedition only, but I believe that has changed. You should require 6 people in your group to request it, however they do not have to be online or in the zone with you -- merely a full group. If you are looking for an interesting raid zone, especially one that was never really expeienced by many, then Tacvi should be a nice trip for you. Keep that alt parked at 65 for a bit, farm up some tacvi gear for him and marvel at his level 65 power! =P
