3 box- best combo

There is no "best", it is all relative to what you want to do and how you play your game.

There are very good setups that can contain almost every single class. The game has been balanced to death, where you can use a variety of classes to accomplish the same feat if you think about it ahead of time.

Basically as long as you cover tank/slow/heal/dps with the 3, you can do a lot, and a lot more as you gain experience playing them off one another.

Im sorry if I didnt make clear exactly what it is I was asking. I would like to know what other 2 toons would be a dynomite trio with my shamy?

I'd say Shaman, SK, and mage.

Shaman can cover heals, slows, dots, roots for crowd control. (not limited to that, of course)
SK can pull, tank, mana tap, life tap, and snare.
Mage has dps, CoH which is awesome for pulling, and can summon pet gear for all three toons.

I can't see threeboxing with two melee's to be easy, espically if you go with a high dps toon like a rogue. I just can't imagine that it's easy to position two melee's while trying to heal and slow.

I 3 box War, Clr, Shm. There is very little I can't take out with that trio. Replacing the Cleric with a dps class would definately speed things up but having cleric level healing with me allows me to handle some pretty tough stuff.

3-boxing RS named is easier than straight tanking 2 and even 3 pulls which is well within my 3-box capability. Beafly can and has tanked the charm named in a pinch anyway. I understand that what I can do is based on my gear (spells), but that's true for everyone. Not including a tank in your 3-box combo is just a bad idea in my opinion. It restricts your access to targets that either don't summon, or are so trivial that your casters can afford to take hits from them. Try these with no tank: Go camp a robe in the basement of riftseekers for your necro. Survive some asshole training the doomfire guardian on you at tables in fire by just plain killing it. Even with Tacvi/MPG level gear I see few necros in my guild willing to tank the basement of RS. If you're concerned about DPS, snare or split pulls than replace my warrior with an shadowknight. You won't upset me . I was just offering my experience as evidence of the fact that warrior/shaman/cleric is a valid combo.

I recently aqcuired a druid, and will be three boxxing a shaman/sk/druid. When my friend logs on, i will be two boxxing sk/shaman, and he will box druid/monk. I find that with track/damage shields/great heals/ports/buffs that a druid is ideal for three boxxing. Not to mention that SK AA increases the damage from damage shields. Only problem right now is that druid is 69, but i hope to get it to 70 pretty fast!

Paladin, Shaman, Necro. You can tank, you can heal, you can buff, you can slow, you can pull with Necro, you have two pets for extra DPS. The Shaman and Necro don't require a lot of movement to BoT, the shaman has descent DPS, the Paladin can provide the Pally version of his buffs including a lesser conviction, the Necro can feed if necessary, if fighting undead the Necro can help slow and can Mez. The Necro can FD and Rez in a wipe. He can provide DMF. You have it all with those 3 classes. Just buy KEI potions and you are set!
