If healing is your concern with the druid vs shaman then I would go with a shaman 100%.
There really is only one situation as far as boxing goes where druids are better healers than shaman. Thats when shaman direct heals + hots + slows are not enough to keep up with mob DPS. In some situations like this (but not many) a druid will be able to perform the healing task but a shaman would not be able to. This situation would mean your prolly tanking some hefty hitters tho and your druid would be oom soon. Anywhere the druid can heal and keep up mana the shaman can heal and add panther/champ/dots and keep up mana. Shaman hands down have THE BEST mana regen of any class. A shaman with pained memory and canni 5 may even out regen a necro with FT 20 and full mana buffs (other than c6 obv since lich > c6).
The biggest reason i say go with the shaman is the control over mana pool is very nice for a boxer. I lost my taste for boxing a while ago as it just wasn't fun anymore but the shaman was very very nice. I have since switched the shaman to my main I enjoyed it so much.
This is of course my opinion (except for the mana regen part which is fact), and your playstyle etc may effect what your looking for. What type of content you want to box will also determine what classes you would want to use, for xp tho I think your #1 up there is pretty solid.
