What is that Formula for grouping levels to get EXP?

I just added a new 3rd box.

I have variouos level of toons on all 3 boxes.
I have been grouping some and some times I find the lowest peep is not getting exp. I could of sworn I saw some where on one of these messages their was a forumula about grouping but I can't find it and I have been trying.

My goal is to form low level groups and learn how to 3 box while

I got various levels
28 ranger
25 cleric
20 cleric
18 mage
20 mage
11 necro
10 war
32 war
21 enc
22 wiz
20 wiz

IIRC half the level of the lower toon added to the lower toons level, level 44 +22= level 66 that you can group and still get xp, some reason i have in the back of my mind that you add 5 to the 66 though /ponder

You add 0.5 levels iirc. Meaning if you're level 45, you can get xp when you are grouped with a level (1.5x45=) 67.5 + 0.5 = 68. Some people find it easier to calculate it the other way around: the lowest level that will get xp with you must be 2/3 of your level or higher. Meaning if you're 69, the lowest level of your partner is 46.

You only add the .5 levels if lower person is odd levels. Easiest to just say 1.5 times the lower toon rounded up if result isn't a whole number.

Actually, the simplest and most accurate way to state it is:

Lower level will get xp if they are at least 2/3 of the higher level rounded down.

For example, and I have specifically test this:

A level 40 alt will get xp when grouped with a level 61 main (not 60 as predicted by lower level x1.5). Level 61 x2/3 = 40.66, rounded down to 40.

List of Highest level in party/lowest level that can get xp:

And so on.
