I use burst of sunlight as my main heal, and the sof burst as a back up. I do this mainly for focii reasons. I have tab set to switch between my last 2 targets, so when I need a heal, I target myself with F1, cast a heal, then tab back to the mob. I am not sure on your mana pool, but you might want to use a hot fairly often, as bursts both lock your spell gems out for a short time and also eat up your mana fast.
And no, golems are not undead. If you want to play in veksar, ivu to the chef area. That place should be a cake walk for you.

When I referred to pally soloing, I did mean for AA. For that since you can choose undead yo will beat any melee or hybrid.
For other soloing I will take you at your word that SK is better then paladin, they do certainly have more versatility in targets.
And with a well geared monk tank, golems are tough to tank, but doable (group was Monk (me), Cleric, SHaman, rogue, mage, second cleric). The second cleric was very undergeared however first cleic is demi/TSS geared. Second cleric did dps (a friend who has just gotten back into the game) however the shaman did sometimes (not every golem) have to patch.
As for soloing the golem? I'd have gone splat so fast it wouldn't even have been funny, and Shaman monk would not have been enough to win.
