"Deciding how other's should approach the game".
And we get to the root of the problem why people can't see past their nose to understand WoT. "I'll play EQ my way, why are you nerfing my way of playing EQ". That outlines that people are seeing this as a "personal" attack from the developers and it's not. It is a game balance issue, wether one individual used it properly while everyone else abused it, vice versa, or anywhere in the middle ground.
I'm not happy that WoT has been procing less on current exp mobs (dark blues), and that is something that I want changed more than anything. From Light Blue down, it makes absolute sense as most situations light blue dps is obliterated by a Paladins stats, thus WoT started to fall into the broken category. Dark Blues are considered "proper" exp mobs... +/- 5 levels of your current level... how many times have we heard that recently as "proper" group exp areas.
Regardless of the issue of how the individual used it, this nerf was to handle the matter of the whole. All things considered, after 3 solid days of exping, the nerf really has not hit it very hard in the group game. Yes, WoT got smashed in the Light Blue solo'ing, but in the light blue levels, any Paladin heal will suffice quite well in most cases.
I can lecture Paladins on the dozens of ways I have learned to solo over the years, but it does little good. People seem to want to pout, get enraged over the nerf, and threaten to quit instead of adapt. I think that's the thing that bothers me the absolute most about all of this. For almost two years now, Paladins have had NO MAJOR class balance issues or nerfs while almost every other class in the game has a large, legitament gripe/issue. We finally have something come up and people scream and temper tantrum like little kids. It's disturbing really.
