The current riposte bug is game wide, and there is no difference between PC and NPC. Both are able to riposte, but produce no damage due to lack of follow-up swing.

I suspect this "bug" is the catalyst for the recent server stability. There was supposed to be an anti-riposte loop code that should have prevented riposting a riposte in an infinite loop and crashing the server, but was found to not be working properly (I'll take credit for that in Beta wheeee) and riposte loops were indeed happening. And then of course monk aura and the Return Strike AAs fit into all of this somehow. Granted thats a bit of speculation, but I don't think I'm too far off.

why do i have a feeling we should be expecting an AA return on Return strike aa's soon....
