I've been using the DA hammer to Ramp Tank for years now. I have Weapon Affinity 5. I've had it for a long time. It procs regularly and often...or at least it use to.

Tonight, while ramp tanking Daosheen (which I've done before many times) no procs. None. As in...ZERO. I ramp tanked him with it for a good 10+ minutes. No procs. Another Paladin got two procs...just two...in 20 minutes. That's it.

Anyone else seeing this issue? Anyone have any info? This an intentional stealth nerf or a bug that's gonna be fixed?

Ive played every day since TSS live, and I havent noticed any problems with Hopebringer proc'ing, in fact its actually been having random spurts of proc'ing quite a bit in a row. Like 5-6 times in a row. Although I have noticed that the other paladins in my guild who have TSS and are past lvl 70 were complaining about some things acting up, so it makes me wonder since I am still lvl 70.

Yeah, I officially call "erroneous".

We just did Jelvan. I ramp tanked. Was DA well over half the fight. Lots of procs, as usual. In short term buff box, so make sure you're looking there.

That it's useful in the first place is an obvious "blunder". It comes from a zone where the mobs speak backwards ffs - at least I laughed a bit when I saw the proc for the first time (way back when hardly anyone knew what rampage was). There's a ton of fun stuff out of grieg.

I use it. I'd be the first to admit that it's great to have. I wouldn't cry a river if they fixed it though; in fact, I'd think I'd like it if they did. Trivializes some content really. And yeah, I'd call it a fix, not a nerf.

Can you tell me what the max buff slot is in the short duration buff window? 6? 8? 12?? Are you implying that the short buff window was full and Divine Aura didn't take hold for all 3 ramp paladins? Or that all 3 of us are so blind we can't see :

spamming through our combat window at an alarming rate....in bright red no less.

Ok so I figured out what’s wrong with the da hammer. It isn’t specific to rampage like some have posted though I can definitely see why some would deduce this. The problem with DA hammer is that it will not proc if the spell divine aura's recast time has not been met. So if you are doing jelv like we always do, tag the mob, pop spell DA, run for the cubby, swap to da hammer and start swinging away the hammer wont proc for 15 min until the DA spell refreshes. I went to PoFire to test this. I was alone and the only buffs I had on were self haste and conv from the night before. I had no bard and didn’t even use aura so there was nothing in my song box. first thing I did was mimic what I did last night on jelv, ran up to a mob with my boff, smacked it, popped spell DA, ran to a safe place, swapped to da hammer, clicked off DA and started swinging. I killed 6 mobs with my DA hammer w/o a single proc. Soon as spell DA pops I started procing. So I tried it again, same thing. Tried it again, this time I popped spell DA then unmemmed it, still no procs. so after a mob I rememed it and continued pulling , after 15 min I started procing again but spell was still grayed out (due to unmeming for a mob then rememing). couple min later the spell popped back up I cast it, let it run its course, then no procs for 15 min the instant it pops back up I start procing again. I unmemmed the spell now that it's recast time has been met and I continue to proc. So after casting the spell you can’t proc for 15 min whether the spell is memed or not, if you never mem the spell in the first place you will not see any problems. There is no need to camp or zone, I tried both and neither fixes it.

That's a great catch. Sounds entirely plausible, resolves the diametrically opposed experiences we saw, and does not contradict my experience at all (I did not cast DA; brought the mob to the corner without it rawr).

I ramp tanked co9 a little while b4, the proc-rate was minimal (2 procs in 15min fight, 28%,26%)
But when I rt jelvan last week, the proc-rate seems normal.
Seems they've fixed it, or at least for me

Made a point of NOT using the DA spell. Honestly wasn't willing to take the chance with that last night as we're dusting off the cobwebs from the lack of normal raiding.

So is this shared recast timer a bug or intentional? Protection of the Dain is also on the same recast timer and will not cast if the spell gem is greyed out. I was hoping they would have fixed it on the Oct 25 patch. Pfft yea right.
