i was in your shoes a while ago. adding damage will not improve agro. an extra swing every now and then will not improve agro. i can hold agro on three mobs at a time. i use a 1hs and a shield. aug the weapon with an enraging blow or chaotic strike aug from don vendor. keep at least 3 stuns memmed. keep 2 group heals memmed. if someone in the group pulls agro for some reason pop a group heal if that does not pull agro target the mob hitting them and taunt it the follow up with a stun. the taunt and the stun should be enough to keep agro solidly on you. the group should have a main group assist, somone other than you. no one should be attacking anything but what the main group assist is hitting. if you only have one mob there and have trouble holding agro you should be chain stunning group healing and popping taunt every time it refreshes. if that is not enough to hold agro then someone in the group needs to learn that they are not a tank, let the mob eat them once and they will learn quickly to temper their dps/agro whatever.
