2.0 tap / Anger II aug aggro on raids

I am closing in on my 2.0. (next on list for Orb, Remal the Black, turn in)
If I use the 2 DoN tap augs should I be worried about taking aggro from MT or is it not
really enough to get the aggro from a good raid MT?
I am around 2600AC and 16khp w/ 377AA's. So I find that I can one group tank most reasonable
content so I am leaning toward the DoN augs, or 1 DoN + Anger II aug from TSS to help when I am
tank for exp groups, but I don't want to have the combination grab aggro on raids.
Usually group TSS or TBS orum missions (MT) and raid Anguish (NOT MT).
We are not in to DSK yet for the damage 4 aug, is there any other augs / combinations you would
recommend instead until I get there?
Thanks,
Brickand

I had 2x chaotic strike augs in my epic, and never had any problems with taking aggro on raid. If you manage to take aggro with 2x tap augs your MTs need to go to aggro school!

personally i am putting in the damage aug from ashengate and the damage aug from the valdoon instance. Both are 1 groupable with some camping. I have yet to see the valdoon aug drop, but I wont give up.
There is no way you are going to be taking agro from other tanks with just melee (unless they are TOTALLY sucking or you get a string of lucky procs off early in the engage.)
I wouldn't aug the epic with anger augs. 2handers aren't about tanking, they are about DPS. Use damage augs, or proc/tap augs. If you have trouble holding agro with your 1hs and shield, use an anger/stun/rune aug (this is a tanking set up.)

Zerker friend and I recently got one of his toons able to request the Ikkinz events to get a . It drops in . Single grouped it with a 20khp, 3700 AC, max AA warrior, max AA druid and shaman and bard, 1400ish AA ranger and 800ish zerk. Can't campfire into the zone, but you can set one up just outside (safe spot). Aug dropped for us our first attempt. The last two mobs in the zone share the same loot table so you have two chances at it in that event.

2handers get most of their agro from the swinging alone. I used to have some problems with stealing agro when I was using 2x CS4, especially on fights where I'd group heal a lot. If your wars have less than BBoB+2.0, you may have issues. But in general, I'd want as little agro on my 2.0 as possible. Not that you should get paranoid about it, but don't add augs for the agro alone.

Accomplished paladins, as a baseline, should have in their epic slot 1, type 4: , and slot 2, type 8: . Both are groupable. The best paladins instead have Dissonant Pitch Gemstone from Deathknell in their slot 2, but that requires a difficult flag and luck on a raid to get.
Paladins (indeed all the knights I know, even those "other knights") put their Jade of the Ether in their 1h, for agro and a modicum of added durability tanking. Warriors use it on whatever 2h they solo with (Vish stick usually).

I am gonna hijack the thread a bit, because my question regards epic 2 augs also. I to am very close to the 2.0 and have to decide what to put in it. I am currently using Blood-polished Hammer with 28 dely and i have the 4 fire dmg aug from RSS in it. Now my question is, should i still use the 4 fire dmg aug in the epic or will a normal dmg proc be better due to the higher dely on epic. And if there has been test showing that i just never should use the 4 fire dmg aug because no matterwhat a dmg proc is better, let me know.

Straight damage augs are always better than elemental damage simply because the ele portion can be resisted where the regular just adds to the damage on the weapon.

I'd pick the damage aug always(straight dmg > ele dmg > proc), as long as mob isn't resist immune to the elemental portion of that dmg aug, which undead dont seem to be to bad or 50/50 at best, stacks better with "Slay damage" and since half of the best exp in game is undead, its always good to boost your undead dmg further and further(although this "looks" to be changing with SoF, but likely still a decent undead zone, hopefully).
You can do Seeker mission in DoD for this aug, , it should be slightly better then that 4 fire dmg aug.

Might go for the if you can handle Ashengate. 3 fire dmg and Fiery Strike VI. If you can put a couple/three groups together, the Trial of Righteousness really isn't all that difficult. If a shaman and druid can keep a warrior that's not even DP geared alive, it should be doable for you.

Elemental +dmg augs are worthless. Any random proc aug will outdamage Bauble of Agression -no problem-. Purified Lava Vein is the best because nothing else is better, not because it's good. There are no normal +dmg augs or huge "2h only procs" or whatever to go in that slot. Make no bones about it, it was kicked hard in the crotch when made +3fire instead of +3dmg. There is a world of difference.

Riou has the best advice there for the OP. Brohg, I don't know where you got your info from but straight dmg augs are best with out a doubt. The elemental dmg is second and followed closely by procing (fiery strike, cs4 are best and taps are resisted quite a bit) with all WA and maxed CE. If WA isn't maxed out and your CE is lacking, elem augs are going to win nearly every time. I have seen several parses reflecting this but none of my own personally. The aug from DoD is really easy to get and will be the best option until you are able to get some thing better from FC or Ash. Good info Riou.
