Recently received a 2hs ornament for my Hydraulic Crushblade and found out that it was an augmentation and not an ornament box.
Checking back to the patch notes of July 9, 2008 I found that you can go to Magus Alaria and buy the mutation tool to put the augment into to change it into a pure ornament. It does however strip the proc on the item.
Thought Id post this because I sure as heck didnt know you could do it until I read patch notes from 3 months ago.

someone explain me how these ornamentations work plz. and yeah, i am a noob if it comes to non-required extras but i seen a decent ornamentation today id probably like to get.

They are only from LoN.
Anyhow when you get an ornament only (not the aug) its just a single slot container that you put your weapon into and click combine. Then it turns the ugly pos into something cool looking.

Have to make sure you have the right ornamentation for the right weapon that you plan to use it on though as there are ones for 2hb 2hs 1hs 1hb etc etc
