Request: Gear Advice for a Level 65 Paladin

Hi all,

I am a level 65 Palading, who recently returned after 8+ years away from EQ. Considering that my gear is 8 years old and with all the new expansion since then, I am sure it's beyond wimpy/obsolete. For example, the best weapon I have is a 2HS 31/28. Also, I picked up some earing off of trash mob in Nadox and it was way better than what I had. I paid a visit to Veksar and got some gloves, again off of trash mob, and they are way better than what I had on me at the time. Right now, IIRC, fully buffed, my HP is around 6K with and I have less than 10 AA points. Moneywise, I have 1K PP.

I would love to get some advice on stuff that I can get by either buying from bazaar or solo. Advice on how to make some money is also welcome.

Defiant sets are good as far as they go, level 80. Bazaar or get lucky for visible pieces; hotzone quests for waist/back/shoulder; vendor down by the loyalty npc for jewelry. If you want better, it's definitely out there, but you're likely to outgrow it faster than you can get it. When there are no more new Defiant sets to grow into, you can either seek out attunable armors from HoT(81) or Alaris(86), or have a set of cultural armor made. The non-top-level cultural armors are usually very reasonably priced.
