- Paladin - Aurora heals have been changed back to self-target so they will work as they did before. They now trigger a small group heal that will add a minimal amount of hate.

Kinda makes me wonder why they didn't do exactly that the first go-around, but I am glad to see a quick response.

The autocast 1pt group heal is inelegant and puts additional (minor, but additional) work on the server side. Morover, besides being inelegant, it's a very obvious sort of kludge. It sticks out. And anytime something sticks out as odd, in any endeavor, and the reason for it to exist is "oh, that's so the thing doesn't 1-900-MixALot itself and fall to fiery pieces", one hopes there's a better solution to be found. The speed with which this happened makes me think it was sitting ready, and last week's fix was the attempt at a better solution.

As cumbersome as it looks, that is their fix from the get-go, to add an additional proc. The only thing they are fixing was they changed it from a self target spell into a group spell, which screwed with the spells logic. Now they look to be reverting it back to a self target spell, the auto-proc group heal for agro still in place. So last patch wasn't the attempt at a better solution, it was just a "oops" moment for a kinda quick and ugly fix.

didn't they bring servers down for the velocity crap? Couldn't they have dropped a fix then?

If someone block the beneficial trigger wouldn't this make the change useless? (aka no agro for the caster).

Leave the mana cost at 10k and they won't have to worry about it...

Aurora fix should be going in with the patch on Wednesday (9/15/10)

Very happy (and shocked) this fix got some attention so quickly. Not having this spell line working properly I've felt like there is a big hole in my defensive ability, lol.
