They did some somewhat goofy things with spells this time around

The 4 Int classes get to buy part of the power they normally would've gotten on most spell lines back for 30 AA per spell to make things more fair to melee. That might be fine from the top level view, but I believe it was still broken on a few mage spells, meaning they get a smallish nerf.

For spells targeted with this change, the Rk 1 spells seem to generally be similar to the Rk 3 spell of the previous expansion, only with a higher mana cost. This means without buying at least the first of the Focus AA's, and getting any relevant Type 3's and having an up to date focus, Raiders will actually see a brief loss in power going from Rk 3 to Rk 1. More pronounced for the higher level ones as always, due to how focus decay works. A small annoyance, but still there. Rk 2 should break that trend in most spots.

I believe all the spells were just current content versions of old spells. Various spells got cut, some that probably shouldn't have, and a few no one will really care are gone.
