LON - how to get loot cards?

So, I have found myself bored on raids, and buy what I refer to as EQ lottery tickets. LON packs .... Hoping for a loot card.

So far, I am at zero. so it goes.

However, I now have all these cards that, well, I have no idea about, and really don't find myself interested enough to try the game. again, so it goes. I gave up MTG (Magic the Gathering, long ago)

You folks that are playing, how is the trading being done? What does trading for a loot card look like so far? Do the cards themselves have enough value to trade for a loot card? Is there a way to tell on the LON card whether a card is a 'rare' 'uncommon' 'common'?

Do they have a similar process to MTG packs where there is always a rare per pack?

I saw one loot item that was a once a day recharge of 10k mana and hps. ok. I would like that.

Saw another one that was a Black Panther mount. !!! Yah. I'd definetely like that.

Is there an overall listing somewhere of loot cards available?

Just kind of my general questions regarding this. Have a whole bunch of cards, and don't even know what to do with them....

If there are cards that are of interest to folks, let me know what they are and I will check through mine to see if I have them.

I believe you can trade them outside of servers, or are we restricted to server interaction?

There is a set number of common, uncommon and rare playing cards per pack and in each pack you have a chance at getting a foil version of a game card or a loot card.

You can tell whether a playing card is Rare, Uncommon, or Common by looking at the letter in the code in the lower left corner.

That being said, trading playing cards for loot cards is largely impractical. I'd contend that at this point most of the booster being opened are being opened in search of loot cards. So the way the market pans out is:

If you want to trade playing cards for boosters, you trade at a significant disadvantage. I believe it costs you 10's of rare cards to get 1 booster pack.

If you then want to trade boosters for loot, the cheapest loot cards can be had for 1 booster. The cards you mention don't fit that bill; Kiss (the mana regen clicky) seems to trade for 20 boosters or so, while a panther mount will cost you more like 50 boosters. So to trade playing cards for a panther mount would cost you something like 1000 rares. And even then you'd almost surely need to do the intermediate step of trading the rares for boosters, because most of the people who would be trading the panther would have no interest whatsoever in owning rares.

As a last variable, there are foil versions of each card. Those are worth more, but still not enough to wildly change the math. If you are willing to trade a foil rare, it will probably get you 2 or 3 of the non-foil version of the same card, for instance.
