lost gear

hey all,

my fiance has lost all of her gear from her enc due to a server/zone crash she was waiting on a rez after looting her corpse then their wazs a crash and when she got back in she had no gear on toon or on her corpse . this happened to anyone else? any advice? she has petitioned but just wondering if there is anything else she can try as it'll be a while before she gets a response and we've never had to petition before so not sure what the outcome will be....

I have known people who had this happen. and they just had to petition and wait, and i dont know if repetitioning will help (or if you can).

One other thought is there is some email address that i have heard is more helpful, though im not sure of the email.

Usually the gear restoration comes with a couple exp potions to help make up for lost time. Petitioning fixes this.

He's been on the phone to them every day apart from Christmas Day. I'm not sure how saying "I have lost ALL my gear" could be any misinterpreted as not being much of a problem! It probably doesn't help that it's been over the holiday period, but even so. I'm not saying quitting is the appropriate way to deal with the issue necessarily, but I can certainly understand his frustrations.

I have not had good luck with SoE over the telephone but have always gotten quick response with online petitions. /shrug.

i have a petiton in atm. i need one bone to finish the hand aug quest and will keep you all informed how long till they even respond to my problem ( been two days so far). none of the quest npc will give me a mission that offers the one bone i need. i had friends go through the mission getting, they can get the missions that offer the reward i need and i can get the same missions, just without the bone i need as a reward.

I would also send in a bug report, after checking your bank, bags and any corpses thoroughly for the missing bone.

Bundler was the fellow who lost the bone, not the one who has no gear.

First, make sure you're asking the correct NPCs for the quest that should give you the bone as a reward. If you are, go back to the NPC's and try getting the mission that offers the bone as a reward just to double check. If that doesn't work, I suggest responding to the petition if they haven't closed it. If they have closed it, open another petition and in it, cite the GM who responded (and any number or other identification for your original petition) and re-explain the problem. Stick in there that you've double- and triple-checked everything. Just keep plugging away at it ... eventually it will be escalated to someone who knows what they're talking about.
