seirously, you sound like you need a waaahmbulance - omgosh raiders get the first instanced fabled - I'm a grouper waaaaah.
Instead of whining about what you perceive as a problem, write up a solution.
Perhaps further - ask that the Ykesha/LDoN be fabled simultaneusly - or that a set of fabled instances be set to cater to the groupers since the riaders now have one.

Would it be too hard to ask you to help be a part of a solution instead of whining?

or - now this is a rough idea - p'raps.. lead some raids.. pickup raids in PoP.. oimgosh generate flags omgosh help people get in to time omgosh and see what happens?

Eci, the server I live on, has an open public raiding system - lots of part timers join in on the raids.

You sound sulky and whiny - and you oughtn't. P'raps if you get enough people feedbacking this problem, with a similar solution, it may have an effect.

Oh wait (serious face) tis is sony - they won't listen, and groupers will be stuck without instanced fabled until LDoN or maybe even GoD.

I actualy tried to start a counter-public raid force on Eci with some other folks in my spare time - but that was another story entirely and has nothing to do with the whole "be a solver instead of a whiner"

It's an old song. Groupers have an entire expansion with upgrade routes and gear choices designed for them specificaly that are of impressive quality comparatively speaking.

I'm thinking he's arguing over the fact that PoTime will start at SoF Tier 3. Also, the only raiders that will not have to compete for fabled spawns are the top 5 or so endgame guilds. Nothing in PoTime will be killed (outside of GK'ers) on my server. I'm sure that's true for most servers.

I happen to agree with this. There's not much scaling possible if you start at the near top of the current endgame. PoTime previously had a large variance in the difficulty of the events when it was current. This should be true with the fabled version, but will not be. By making PoTime scale to where only current endgamers can even think of attempting Tier 1 is asinine to me. The scaling of the tiers should have been (and was thought to be doing so for about a day) from approximately DP level for Tier 1 to SoF Tier 3+ for Quarm with loots comparable to difficulty of the encounters. This would allow for more guilds to experience this fabled PoTime and have actual chances at some of the mobs which is what pretty much any guild wants.

Mobs in PoP open zones just means they'll be on perma-farm by one or two guilds on each server, be it for their own use or for gearing up alts/bots. Every argument I've seen against having scaling in PoTime seems to read, "You have other non-instanced stuff to do, go back to your hole and learn your place in the game." I'm not thinking that argument holds too much water.

PoTime was always instanced, in that the zone and its population were generated when you zoned in, and depended on lock outs, rather than being static. However, in it's original form, it wasn't instanced in the same way that it is now. Originally, only one instance could run at a time, so you still had to have rotas with other guilds to share time there.

Proper instancing came out with LDoN, but it was some time later when PoTime was changed to be instanced along those lines so that multiple instances could run at the same time.

I'm not sure some people realize that with Time starting out at Tier 3 SoF level...if you can't churn out massive DPS with the likes of TSS and beyond weaponry, you aren't going to be able to beat the Tier 1 timer to get to ANY of the Plane of Time content. At least that's what that post means to me. The very first Tier 1 event, where you are on a timer and have to defeat 5 different events in...an hour (? can't remember the timer) will be SoF Tier 3 level. So unless you're churning out SoF Tier 3 level DPS, how are you going to get to any other Time content? You're not.

Granted, it's all speculation at this point since we haven't seen any of it, but I am also very displeased with the way the Devs have been handling things lately and this is just another screw up. It would have been just as easy to make Tier 1 DoD level, Tier 2 PoP level, Tier 3 TSS level and then take it up a notch to SoF level when you get into Tier 4, and then SoF Tier 3 level with the Gods in Tier 5 and then do whatever you want with Quarm. That way, everyone that's raiding anything substantial these days can at least enjoy reliving the glory days of the Plane of Time in the ONLY INSTANCED ZONE IN THE ENTIRE EXPANSION, maybe grab some loot with some substance to it, and celebrate EQs anniversary.

Yes, there will be other fights in NONINSTANCED CONTENT that maybe you can get to if you're a East Coast guild and get lucky. But most likely, alot of players and a lot of guilds will see very little in the way of Fabled content in PoP. At least any content of any substance. And that's not much of a anniversary celebration if you ask me.

The real reason they are instancing time fabled is so GhostKillers won't be interferring as much with other fabled kills. And if it is SOF level that shoud keep the GK'ers there instead of ganking fabled Magmaton.


Of course it won't work, they will ghost time AND Magmaton but hey we can dream.

Xilly's got a good idea I think. Although I doubt anything we say will have any effect on what actually happens - I hope it's something along these lines.

From what I remember of the dev comments though, they said pop fabled will be starting with DoD raids (Shyra can easily be onegrouped remember) and continue up to MMM difficulty - so i would imagine that is what they had in mind. Nowhere did they say Time specifically is starting at solteris difficulty and ending at MMM/crystallos so just calm down everyone. There is only one way to find out how hard it will be - wait and see.

so giving the 85% majority of raiders the crap content they must fight over in PoP and giving the 15% top an instenced version of there own playground to fight all the bosses in is not playing favorites? Your crazy and stuck up, get off your high horse and give the majority the content they deserve. A scaling PoT like it should be, not every boss SoF and up.

What's "deserve"? Do you also deserve a gimped-to-shit version of Kerafyrm to go beat up with your nooblet posse because the actual flagging process is too hard? Guess what, champ, all the instanced content is just as available to your special-as-a-snowflake butt. Man up and face the challenge if you want the rewards.

I can't believe all this noise. If there weren't an instance, you'd complain that the evil nasty uber players were cockblocking because they could kill more than one noninstanced target in 8 hours.

Since you have yourself so convinced the devs will scale Time, go read through a couple times till it sinks into that think head. Time will not be pre SoF.

If you read what they say, at no time, ever, do they say "phase 1 will be Meldrath level", nor do they say "all the events in the zone are going to be Meldrath level", they allways say the zone will be at that level which is quite a different thing.
